Amy is responsible for overseeing the human resources (HR) department and all aspects of employee relations. She plans, implements, and evaluates company policies, procedures, and practices, and nurtures a positive working environment. She helps present S.A. Comunale as a premier employment destination for top talent. Amy also maintains salary and benefit administration, and monitors training and performance needs.
Expertise
Amy is a human resources specialist with a decade of experience in recruiting, onboarding, hiring, Family and Medical Leave Act administration, and employee relations. She joined S.A. Comunale in 2014 and continues to develop the human resources department.
Amy holds an associate degree in criminal justice, a Bachelor of Science in psychology from the University of Akron, and an MBA from Cleveland State University. She is a member of the national Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and SHRM local Akron chapter. Additionally, she has obtained her PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certificate.
Amy cultivates professional and technical HR knowledge by participating in continuing education workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and remaining active in HR professional societies. She participates in the Women’s Network Leadership Institute on behalf of the Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce.
The Personal Side
Amy enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and family. She is a coffee and tea connoisseur, and is skilled in bow hunting and fishing.
